When opening the pantry you realize that there were a family of rats who ate your groceries. The only thing left is some stale bread that was untouched. Your wife refuses to eat the stale bread because she was really just expecting better from your new work.

End of day. Do you spend your day's wage on some Gruyere to make some onion soup with the onions you saw on your walk back home? Do you say "yes" to your wife who shared that maybe you can use your friday wage on a dress for her so she can impress her family on sunday when you go to church?

▷ Day 5

That friday feelin'! Your boss puts you on a job with more prestige. You get to help repair the windmill. Every second counts on this job because the time the grain isn't being processed he's losing money. Somehow you manage to fix the windmill through remembering how the wagon wheel was assembled. The client praises your work and gives your boss a tip. Your boss asks, "Do you wanna work tomorrow?" "Yes sir! I sure need the money!", you quickly reply.

End of day. You have your money and you are on your way home when a driver runs over your foot with his carriage. Ahhh! I think my ankle is broken! By the time you've gotten off the ground from your excruciating pain the carriage is gone. You ask a stranger to get your friend and another to tell your wife to meet you at the doctor's. You won't be able to pay for your wife's dress and you'll owe the doctor money as well as you will not be able to work...You are feeling worse off than had you not worked saturday! You have no decision that you can make today.

The Stables

▷ Day 7 [ spoilers ]

You go to church anyhow with the intent to pray for health and wealth but then you run into her parents and they say, "You both look so bad." Then they turn to you, "We always knew your weren't capable of being a provider."

End of the day. From then your wife doesn't say anything for the rest of the day. When you ask her what is wrong thinking it would be about the comments, she says only, "The rent is due tomorrow..."
